An insightful executive who was formerly President of Global Services for Kodak and Chief Marketing Officer at Blue Shield of California, she has managed companies and organizations through successful transformations, turnarounds, and significant growth.
One of the highest ranking “out” corporate executives, she has led national efforts to influence workplace policy and culture. She was named by Gay Financial Network as one of the Ten Most Influential Leaders in the country, gave Senate testimony on the Employment Nondiscrimination Act, and has been interviewed and profiled in numerous publications from Time magazine to The Advocate.
Cynthia is a board member and past board president of Openhouse, as well as a past board member of Ohlhoff Recovery Programs, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and the Urban League of Rochester, NY. A frequent speaker on women’s leadership, she has given talks for Women in Technology International, Smith College’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program, the UCLA Leadership Institute, “Women in the 21st Century,” the Reaching Out MBA conference, and Out and Equal Workplace Advocates. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Ursinus College and an M.S. in Operations Research from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
