At Hirsch & Associates, Fernande works with philanthropists to translate their big picture objectives into well-designed programs and tangible actions. She is passionate about community organizing, leadership development, and connecting impactful organizations and leaders with the resources they need to succeed. Prior to joining Hirsch & Associates, Fernande served as Program Officer at Full Circle Fund, where she designed engagement opportunities for emerging philanthropists and community-based partners, oversaw four giving circles, and co-led the strategic growth of the organization.
Fernande began her career managing the Hart Leadership Program at Duke University and honed her skills in effective nonprofit management as a 2013-14 New Sector Alliance Resident in Social Enterprise Fellow. She is an alum of Justice Funders Harmony Initiative and a past Advisory Board member of Oasis for Girls. She holds a B.A. in International Comparative Studies and a Certificate in Markets and Management from Duke University.
